YACHT BUILD DOCUMENTATION: comprises all the documents, contracts, work plans, budget,
rules, regulations, labour, materials, registration and all other paperwork required for a yacht
to be built and sold. This includes:
1. CE Approval to comply to the Recreational Craft Directive set out by the EU. We can advise
on the Rules & Regulations and prepare the vessels Technical Manual.
2. We can supply a Project Manager’s procedure and requirements booklet.
3. Supply examples of and advise on the Build Contract.
4. The vessels Build or Refit Specification can be prepared, written and updated.
5. A detailed ‘Bill of Materials’ can be supplied for the project with costs and suppliers.
6. A Work Plan and Build Procedure with way points, labour, materials and funding dates.
7. If the yacht is to be built to Class (Lloyds, ABS, DNV, GL, Vertitas etc.) We can work with them
and the builders to organise the approval of construction drawings, make and supply class
required drawings such as: Fire & Safety Plan, System design drawings etc.
8. If the yacht is built to Class and flagged in the Red Ensign Group we can work with the flag
State (Isle of Man, Cayman Island etc) to supply and obtain required documents and design
work required by the Large Commercial Yacht Code (LY2)
9. If yacht is built of GRP or GRP/Composite and to Classification we can advise on and supply
A Workshop Manual for the approval of workshops, working procedures and stores.
10. We can also supply a detailed booklet of Quality Assurance for specific projects, yacht and
Boat Production companies.
11. We have and can supply the Dock & Sea Trials booklet for Sail & Motor Yachts matched to
suite
